As hard as it is to wait and be unable to do anything for 20
weeks, I can’t imagine the pain of giving birth to a little baby with no idea
anything was wrong, and then to lose her suddenly. I know that this pain still confronts some
parents, but I am thankful to God that many are now spared this shock and that sometimes
their children can be treated due to the skill and creativity of humans made in
His image, from engineers and scientists who created ultrasound machines, to surgeons
and parents willing to try new surgeries to save lives, to doctors who can look
at a dime-sized heart on a grainy ultrasound and diagnose what is wrong.
